Pussy Riot, Athens Greece, Pussy Riot Paris, etc….And maybe if this trial turns out as the prosecutors want it to, with the women getting at least 3 years, we all play benefits and go to Russia en masse under the banner that we are all Pussy Riot, Yoko Ono could be in Pussy Riot, Patti Smith could be wearing a mask next to a troupe of girls from Tennesee storming the Cathedral of Christ the Savior screaming “We are all Pussy Riot!!!”” Kathleen Hanna from her blog

There’s a new blog out called Lets start a Pussy Riot it has responses from women on Pussy Riot there’s pictures and artwork and even poetry. Here’s what the about us says:

A celebration of freedom of speech; of visibility; of not taking our own situations for granted

Lets Start a Pussy Riot! is a creative response.
Using culture and creativity to form our activism and inform our minds. Writing, painting, singing our opinions in order to distil them further in the minds of others.

To show support to those brave enough to speak out
To keep dialogue flowing and tongues wagging
To start thinking beyond what is presented to us in the news
To keep engaging and challenging injustice
To create a response that can say something larger than ourselves.”

I am 100% behind this idea I even wrote about something similar before in a blog post titled Free Pussy Riot An emotional appeal

knit your own balaclavas and sell them to your friends

if School has started where you are consider setting up your own chapter of Free Pussy Riot at your college

make bracelets, stickers, buttons, or t-shirts”

I think creative ways to show our support is one of the best solutions and ways to keep Pussy Riots message going. I’m with you
